I'm delighted to be donating a work to Art Aid Ukraine - an exhibition and on-line auction event being organised to help raise funds to send medical supplies to Ukrainian hospitals. It is the brainchild of two incredible individuals, Adam and Lesia, who you can read more about at Medicine For Ukraine and 100% of all funds raised will go directly to Ukraine.
Please come along if you can. Tickets are just £5.
The event on the 24th April includes a live auction of selected artworks by acclaimed international auctioneer Hugh Edmeades, but also marks the launch of a ten-day, timed online auction via The Auction Collective. So, if you can’t make it on the day, you can still take part and bid for works, by registering below. (You may need to wait until the 24th April for the link below to work…)
I realise of course, that many of you will already be supporting the people of Ukraine in other ways, but if you would like to get involved in this event, we would be most grateful for your support.
The painting I’ve donated is called North Cove - an encaustic, oil and pastel work on wood. North Cove is a small bay on Rothera Point, Adelaide Island in Antarctica, where grounded, weathered icebergs freeze and thaw and freeze again together with the sea ice, season after season in a magical, icy, blue sculpted broth. The work measures 63 x 63 cm and is framed in white. If you’d like more details, please get in touch.
I hope to see some of you next Sunday and in the meantime, please help spread the word by sharing this post and following @ArtAidUkraine on social media.
Thanks so much x
